SPECIAL INSURANCE/BOND REQUIREMENTS: Post to ESBD website.  A certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond for 5% of the amount of the bid made payable to the order of the County Judge of Dallas County must accompany each bid proposal as a guarantee that the bidder, if successful, will enter into a contract with Dallas County and make bond in accordance with the requirements of the specifications.

Detailed plans and specifications of the work may be obtained for a $50.00 NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT at the Public Works Department at 411 Elm Street, 4th floor, Dallas 75202. Documents may be obtained by mail upon receipt of a separate check in the additional amount of $10.00, which is NON REFUNDABLE for postage or handling charges. If the bidder elects to have a courier service pick up plans and contract documents, the courier MUST provide Dallas County with a contact person, phone number and fax number for the bidder on the bidder’s letterhead with the proper mailing address indicated.  Plans will not be released without said information.

PAYMENTS: Payments will be processed after the Auditor's Office has been notified that items have been received/work has been completed in accordance with bid award.


Vendors where applicable must bid unit costs, but may offer lump-sum discounts. Dallas County reserves the right to award all bids in the best interest of Dallas County.
