CARROLLTON (NW Dallas County)  Located within McInnish Park.  Sandy Lake Road and McInnish Road.  Preserve is located at the end of the park's interior road.

Trails:

1-mile natural surface trail inside of the protected area, and across the street,  ½-mile concrete trail for disabled persons, which offers the view of the Trinity River “Elm Fork” bifurcation.

  
History:

A family of pioneers used wood from this land for fuel to cook and to heat their house.
