Judge Rhonda Hunter LargeHon. Rhonda Hunter of Dallas is board certified in both Family Law and Child Welfare Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She has served as the Administrative Chief of the Juvenile Division of the Dallas County District Attorney's Office, founder of the Law Office of Rhonda Hunter and was a partner at Farrow-Gillespie & Heath.

Judge Hunter is past president of the Dallas Bar Association, the J.L. Turner Legal Association, and the Dallas Association of Black Women Attorneys. She currently serves on the State Bar of Texas CLE Committee and is Chair-Elect of the Child Protection Law Section.

Judge Hunter is a former member of the Board of Directors of the State Bar of Texas, the National Conference of Bar Presidents Executive Council, the Metropolitan Bar Caucus Executive Committee and the Supreme Court of Texas Board of Disciplinary Appeals. She was Chair of the Committee for a Qualified Judiciary and the Dallas Bar Association Community Service Fund.

Judge Hunter currently serves as Dallas Bar representative to the American Bar Association House of Delegates where she serves as Secretary of the Minority Caucus, member of the Juvenile Justice Standards Task Force and former member of the Committee on Youth at Risk.

Judge Hunter received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas and a Juris Doctor degree from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
