Dallas County Proposes FY2016 CDBG/HOME Projects and FY2016-FY2020 Consolidated Plan, Schedules Public Hearing, and Begins 30-Day Public Comment Period
Dallas County and its participating cities have recently proposed how approximately $2.2 million of CDBG funding and approximately $500,000 of HOME funding will be allocated for the fiscal year that will begin October 1, 2016.
As part of the process to determine how this funding should be utilized, the County has scheduled a public hearing for July 5 at 9:00 a.m. in the Allen Clemson Courtroom, 411 Elm Street, 2nd floor, in downtown Dallas. Interested individuals may also discuss the proposed Consolidated Plan which identifies housing and community development needs and proposes objectives and activities for HUD funding that the County receives for the FY2016-FY2020 period.
It has also begun a thirty-day comment period during which the public can comment on and offer suggestions on the projects that have preliminarily been proposed as well as the proposed Consolidated Plan. This thirty-day comment period will continue until 4:00 p.m. on July 25, 2016.
