The Dallas County Juvenile Department is charged with the enormous responsibility of rehabilitating youthful offenders. We have learned that to accomplish this task, it takes all stakeholders of the Juvenile Justice System working in unison toward a common goal. All of us, as we serve our three primary customers -- the client and his or her family, the victim and the community at large --- must remember that the decisions we make directly correlates to the offenders' chances of success and, ultimately, to the protection of our community. Our agency appreciates the strong partnerships we have in the North Texas area with law enforcement agencies, school districts, faith-based organizations, community providers, and the many individuals and organizations who volunteer to assist in making a difference in the lives of the young adults we serve and in improving our community both today and tomorrow.
