The Public Health Advisory Committee is chaired by Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price. The committee is comprised of community members and representatives from municipal health departments within the county.
The group reviews the health needs of the community in relation to:
|– environmental health
– preventive health
– communicable diseases
– public health preparedness and response.
The committee is tasked with prioritizing various health issues county residents face at any given time. PHAC is also charged with coordinating efforts of all participating entities that seek to improve the health of county citizens.
Meetings are held quarterly from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in Room 627A of the DCHHS building.
