When and where are the Tax Auctions?
Auctions are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m., in the basement of the George Allen Courthouse, 600 Commerce Street, Room #G119, Dallas, Texas 75202. Auction days and times are listed at the Dallas County Courthouse, 500 Commerce Street, on the Public Information board located on the first floor. Visit www.publicans.com for additional information.
Bidder’s Certificates are required to purchase property at the tax sale. At least 24 hours prior to the sale, all certificates must be purchased at the Dallas County Tax Office, 500 Elm Street, Dallas, Texas 75202. |

How do I get a tax certificate?
To obtain a Tax Certificate, you may come in person or mail a $10.00 check/money order to the Dallas County Tax Office, Att: Special Inventory Department, 500 Elm Street, Dallas, TX 75202. Make checks payable to: JOHN R. AMES, CTA, TAX ASSESSOR/COLLECTOR. Please include your name, phone number and address of the property.
