Judge Steven Seider has been re-elected for successive terms as Justice of the Peace for Precinct 3 since appointment to the bench in 1999.
A licensed Texas attorney since 1991, Judge Seider earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree (with honors) from the University of Texas at Arlington before obtaining a Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston. Judge Seider has served as a member of the Texas Judicial Ethics Commission, assisting in the drafting of judicial ethics opinions for publication to the Texas judiciary; he has served as a Mentor Judge, providing additional education for fellow-judges as ordered by the State Commission on Judicial Conduct.
Judge Seider was appointed by the Supreme Court of Texas to a six-year term as a member of the State Commission on Judicial Conduct in February 2010.
Efficiency and customer service reflect Judge Seider’s strong belief in treating others, as he would like to be treated — balancing justice and mercy without sacrificing dignity, respect or the rule of law.
