Garland – Dallas County Government Center – Kroger Building Renovation

Dallas County initially met with the City of Garland in April of 2003 to discuss a purchase/exchange project in order to meet the needs of both the City of Garland and Dallas County. The renovated Kroger building on Garland Ave. houses a Tax Office, Justice of the Peace, Constable's office, and Juvenile and Adult Probation offices.

The new building features 40,750 square feet. Dallas County approved the “design-build” contract with the firm of Harrison Harper & Walker in order to save time and money. Completed in December of 2006.

Cost:  The total design and construction was estimated at $2.6 million.
