Pre-Proposal Conference has been scheduled for June 13, 2013 @ 10:00 a.m. @ Dallas County – Administration Building, 4th Floor Conference Room – 411 Elm, Dallas, Texas 75202
Special insurance/bond requirements: A certified check, cashier's check, or Bidder's Bond for five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, made payable without recourse to the order of the County Judge of Dallas County, Texas, must accompany each proposal, as a guaranty that the bidder, if successful, will enter into a contract and make bond in accordance with the requirements of the specifications. The right is reserved by Dallas County to reject any and all proposals or to waive any irregularities in the bid proposal when in the best interests of the County.
Additional comments/instructions: Detailed plans and specifications of the work may be obtained for a $ 50 NON-REFUNDABLE FEE at the office of the County Director Public Works at 411 Elm Street, Fourth Floor, Dallas, Texas, 75202. Documents may be obtained by mail upon receipt of a separate check in the additional amount of $10.00, which is for postage or handling charges. If the bidder elects to have a courier service pick up plans and contract documents, the courier MUST provide Dallas County with a contact person, phone number and fax number for the bidder on the bidder’s letterhead with the proper mailing address indicated. Plans will not be released without said information. |

*REPLACEMENT HOUSING PROJECTS: General Contractors interested in bidding on any proposed home reconstruction project must be certified by Dallas County Rehabilitation Staff prior to bidding. For certification materials and information, please call Housing Rehabilitation Staff at: 214-653-7627.
PAYMENTS: Payments will be processed after the Auditor's Office has been notified that items have been received/work has been completed in accordance with bid award.
Vendors where applicable must bid unit costs, but may offer lump-sum discounts. Dallas County reserves the right to award all bids in the best interest of Dallas County.
