Contract for Dallas County Second Floor District Office Renovation Project at the Frank Crowley Courts Building

Pre-Proposal Conference has been scheduled for May 24, 2016 @ 1:30 p.m. @ Dallas County – Frank Crowley Courts Building, 133 N Riverfront – First Floor – Room A-5, Dallas, Texas

The project is primarily interior renovation of the Second Floor of the District Clerk’s area, including demolition, construction, carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, installation of new fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems.

Each bid proposal submittal shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or Bidder’s Bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, made payable without recourse to the order of the County of Dallas, Texas.

A Payment Bond is required in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, if the contract amount exceeds $25,000.

A Performance Bond is required in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, if the contract amount exceeds $100,000.

Project Description

Marsh Lane Road from Brookhaven Club Drive to Valley View Lane, MCIP Project No. 10502, includes the removal of the existing bridge in the south bound direction. A new bridge will be constructed that will accommodate flows in a 100 year storm event. The project will also include the transition area and the medians that will be affected due to the construction. There are 200 working days allocated for construction of all improvements.

Contract Documents and Drawings

Detailed plans and specifications of the work may be obtained for a $100 NONREFUNDABLE FEE at the office of the County Director Public Works at 411 Elm Street – Fourth Floor, Dallas, Texas 75202. Documents may be obtained by mail upon receipt of a separate check in the additional amount of $10.00, which is for postage or handling charges. If the bidder elects to have a courier service pick up plans and contract documents, the courier MUST provide Dallas County with a contact person, phone number and fax number for the bidder on the bidder’s letterhead with the proper mailing address indicated. Plans will not be released without said information. Contractor shall provide one original and one copy of all bid proposal submittals. The Engineer shall issue written orders to the Contractor within ninety (90) days after the Contract is fully executed.

Bid Proposal Guaranty / Bid Security

Hickory Tree Road Paving and Drainage Improvements – MCIP Project No. 31803

Pre-Proposal Conference has been scheduled for June 3, 2016 @ 1:00 p.m. @ Dallas County – Administration Building, 411 Elm – Fourth Floor Conference Room, Dallas, Texas 75202

Project Description

The general scope of work for this approximately 2100 linear foot project consists of constructing two new lanes of pavement between Rylie Crest Drive and Seagoville Road. The new pavement will be eight (8) inches of concrete (approximately 8,900 square yards), which will sit atop eight (8) inches of lime treated subgrade. Sidewalks will also be constructed within the limits of pave construction. Left turn lanes will be constructed at Rylie Crest Drive and Seagoville Road. In addition, approximately 140 linear feet of 3’x2’ box culvert and 660 linear feet of reinforced concrete pipe (size ranges from 12 inches to 24 inches) are included in the project. There are 160 working days allocated for construction of all improvements.
