In Texas, county juvenile justice departments are maintained under the leadership and direction of a juvenile board. In Dallas County, the juvenile board is comprised of district judges, elected county officials, and a representative from the Youth Services Advisory Board. The Juvenile Board ensures that the juvenile department efficiently and effectively meets the needs of Dallas County citizens.
The Juvenile Board meets at 5 pm on the last Monday of each month.
Board meetings are open to the public. Agendas with meeting locations are posted on this website 72 hours before each meeting.
