Medical Reserve Corps

In the event of a local major disaster, volunteers trained and pre-registered by the Medical Reserve Corps may be needed. MRC’s role is to assist the community during a public health emergency.

Volunteer duties can include medical screening, dispensing of medications, clerical support, administrative help and inventory management.

Individuals interested in volunteering are not required to have medical backgrounds.

Volunteers must:

  • be at least 21-years-old
  • complete an online application
  • attend orientation
  • attend a preparedness workshop
  • complete two self-paced emergency management courses online
  • complete one role-specific course

Fill out the online application at metroplexvolunteers.com.
