The Probate Courts and Clerk's Office are located in downtown Dallas at the Records Building at:
509 Main Street, Second Floor
Dallas, Texas 75202
Dallas County operates underground parking garages underneath the Old Red Courthouse and the Records Building and may be entered from Commerce Street or Elm Street. There is a charge for parking. Open lots are located across from the courthouse and metered parking is available on the street.
Dallas County does not discriminate on the basis of disability in the admission or access to its services, programs, or activities. The easiest way to enter the Records building is from the Plaza (street level) using the building’s Main Street entrance. The Main Street entrance has a ramp.
The Records Building Northern Underground Parking garage contains multiple handicapped parking spaces on the first level. There are several ways to enter the Records Building from the garage. The first level entrance to the building includes a wheelchair stair lift to the ground floor where two sets of elevators are available with access to the upper floors. However, if the wheelchair lift is unavailable, on the first level of the garage there are two garage elevators that go to the Plaza (street level), one on the west end of the garage and one on the east end of the garage. The western elevator is closest to the Records Building Main Street entrance and the eastern elevator is closest to Market Street.
Records Building floors 2, 4, and 6 include handicap accessible bathrooms.
Upon reasonable request, accommodation will be provided to allow individuals with disabilities to participate in all County services, programs, and activities located in the Records Building. If you need accommodation, please call 214-653-7000.
