At the heart of Dallas County is the Commissioners Court. The county is divided into four districts, and the voters of each district elect a commissioner to serve a four-year term. All the voters of the county elect the county judge to a four-year term.
The Dallas County Commissioners Court meets twice a month on the first and third Tuesday, at 9:00 AM in the Allen Clemson Courtroom in the Dallas County Administration Building, except for July when the Court meets only on the first Tuesday.
