The Lone Star Trail is an attractively-designed and constructed 3.2-mile trail that begins at Story Road/Hunter Ferrell across from Running Bear Park and ends at the City of Grand Prairie's Lone Star Park entertainment complex at Beltline/I-30 which contains the Verizon Theatre, a horse race track, and a minor league baseball stadium.  The trail also has enormous potential to connect with the southern segment of Irving's Campion Trail and to create what would be a continuous ten-mile trail between the two cities.
