Parking:

No formal parking.  Park at the top of the levee after heavy rain.  During dry weather,  several informal parking areas at the side of the ranch road are available.

Trails:

The ranch road provides 3.8 miles of natural surface trail to the property’s fence line.

History:

Two islands are located in the middle of the river.  The Preserve is named for one of these islands.  Deer, ring-tailed cats, bob cats, and other native Texas mammals may be observed in the Preserve.
