Authorizing the contract between Dallas County and Dallas Independent School District (DISD) to provide educational services to eligible individuals in County correctional facilities, and authorizing the County Judge to execute the documents on behalf of Dallas County.

Authorizing the creation of forty (40) Detention Service Officer positions in order to provide staffing for the 10th floor of the George Allen Jail.

Approving the term appointments for the Sheriff’s Department Civil Service Commission:  two (2) years (February 1, 2011 through January 31, 2013) for Harlan Harrison (Commissioners Court) and James Mitchell (District Attorney), and one (1) year (February 1, 2011 through January 31, 2012) for Juanita Nanez (Sheriff).

Authorizing and directing the County Judge to execute the outlined Master Agreement governing the Major Capital Improvement Program with the City of Farmers Branch-District 1 and City of Richardson-District 1.

Authorizing and directing the County Judge to execute the outlined Work Order No. 1 for Laboratory Services (materials testing work) with Rone Engineering Services, Ltd., via a current Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract in an amount not-to-exceed $7,095.00, to be paid from the CDBG FY 2009 Glenn Heights Morgan Heights Water Main Improvements Project, Program Funds in Oracle No. 09505 Year 2006 on behalf of Dallas County.

Authorizing and directing the County Judge to execute Work Order No. 2 for Laboratory Services with Alliance Geotechnical Group via a current Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract in an amount not-to-exceed $8,842.00, to be paid from Dallas County’s Bridge Fund Account No. 105.2550.08312.0000 for the Erosion and Bridge Structure Repairs of the Belt Line Road Bridge Over Trinity River Project.

Authorizing and directing the County Judge to execute the outlined Amendment No. 1 to the Consultant Engineering Services Contract with Dal-Tech Engineering, Inc., for the Wintergreen Road MCIP Project 47302 from Main Street to Cockrell Hill Road in the amount of $71,935.00, to be paid from MCIP Fund 196, Project 8201.

Authorizing and directing the County Judge to execute a Construction Contract with Fox Contractors, Inc., for the installation of the CDBG FY 2009 Glenn Heights Morgan Heights Water Main Improvements project in the total bid amount not-to-exceed $120,917.50, to be paid from Oracle No. 09505 (2006), (2009), and (2010), in the amounts of $2,365.09, $47,241.41, and $71,311.00, respectively, totaling $120,917.50.

Authorizing and directing the County Judge to execute the outlined Modification No. 1 to the Scope of Services to the contract for Preliminary Consultant Engineering Services with Lina T. Ramey & Associates, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $268,685.59, to be paid from MCIP Fund 196, Project 08201 for the Ledbetter/Grady Niblo MCIP Project.
