COURT ORDER:  Authorizing Dallas County, Texas, to retain Nizam Peerwani, M.D., as an independent forensic expert effective February 22, 2011, to provide expert opinion and testimony in connection with the trial in a certain lawsuit against Dallas County, Texas in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division, styled Cathy Bailey, Individually and as the Representative of the Estate of Corey Deon Bailey, Plaintiff v. Dallas County, et al., Cause No. 3:09-CV-0865-K, and authorizing Dallas County to pay Nizam Peerwani, M.D., for said services, in accordance with the fee schedule outlined in Attachment A.

COURT ORDER:  Approving submission of a grant application for the Dallas County District Attorney’s Collaborative Protective Order Investigator and Advocate grant to the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division (CJD), and designating the County Judge as the grantee’s authorized official given the power to apply for, accept, reject, alter or terminate the grant on behalf of the applicant agency.

COURT ORDER:  Approving submission of a grant application for the Dallas County District Attorney’s Domestic Violence Prosecutor grant to the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division (CJD), and designating the County Judge as the grantee’s authorized official given the power to apply for, accept, reject, alter or terminate the grant on behalf of the applicant agency.

COURT ORDER:  Approving submission of a grant application for the Dallas County DIVERT Court project to the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division (CJD), and designating the County Judge as the grantee’s authorized official given the power to apply for, accept, reject, alter or terminate the grant on behalf of the applicant agency.

COURT ORDER:  Approving the Personal Services Contract with ARC, Austin Ribbon+ Computer for the services of Robert Hall, for the term of March 14, 2011 through June 3, 2011, and authorizing the Dallas County Judge to sign the contract on behalf of Dallas County.

COURT ORDER:  Authorizing the acceptance of the FY 09 Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Project Addition to the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM).

COURT ORDER:  Approving refunds to taxpayers, as listed, for the period ending March 8, 2011, in amounts over $5,000.00 for erroneous or excessive tax payments.

COURT ORDER:  Approving the award of reallocated FY 2010 Ryan White Part B Formula contract funds in the amount of $5,000 to service providers, as outlined in Attachment A, and authorizing the County Judge to sign the contract amendments with the service providers on behalf of Dallas County.

COURT ORDER:  Approving the award of FY 2011 Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) contract funds in the amount of $59,000 to services providers, as outlined in Attachment A, and authorizing the County Judge to sign the contracts with the service providers on behalf of Dallas County.

COURT ORDER:  Authorizing the first extension of (Bid No. 2010-042-4986 – Annual Contract for Transport of Elections Equipment, Machines and Related Items) as awarded to Atlantic Relocation Systems, for the period of June 1, 2011 through May 31, 2012, and authorizing all County documents/payments to reflect accordingly.

COURT ORDER:  Authorizing the cancellation of (Bid No. 2010-084-5195 – Annual Contract for the Purchase of Commercial Grade Carpet), rejection of any and all bids received, and authorizing the Purchasing Department to re-solicit bids under revised specifications at a later date.

COURT ORDER:  Authorizing, in accordance with Texas Local Government Code 262.031(a) “Changes in Plans and Specifications”, the second modification of (Bid No. 2011-023-5334 – Annual Contract for Janitorial Services for the North, West, and East Sections of Dallas County) as awarded to James Enterprise, to include janitorial services (3,010 square feet) at the Immunization/Wellness Clinic located at 8202 Spring Valley, Dallas, Texas, at a rate of $0.04/sq ft., effective February 15, 2011, and authorizing all County documents/payments to reflect accordingly.

COURT ORDER:  Authorizing the Purchasing Department to solicit Request for Proposals for the Fabrication and Design of a Commercial/Institutional Grade Automated Food Tray Sealer and Packaging Machine in accordance with Texas Local Government Code 262.030.

COURT ORDER:  Authorizing the name change from Siemens Building Technologies to Siemens Industry, Inc., and authorizing all County documents/payments to reflect accordingly.

COURT ORDER:  Authorizing and directing the Dallas County Judge to execute the outlined Dallas County Consultant Subsurface Utility Engineering Services Contract (Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity) with Gorrondona & Associates, Inc. and Lina T. Ramey & Associates, Inc., with each Work Order to be funded from the project funds for which the work is performed.
