Pay Day Lending (Presented by Judge Clay Lewis Jenkins)

COURT ORDER: Approving the online submission of the Intellectual Property Crime Enforcement Grant by the Sheriff’s Office, and designating the County Judge as the authorized official given the power to accept the award on behalf of Dallas County

COURT ORDER:  Authorizing Parkland Health and Hospital System to amend lease space for Dr. Pham and to assign the remaining lease obligation to Amerismiles, In c.; this agreement has been reviewed and approved by the Parkland Board of Managers.

COURT ORDER:  Authorizing Parkland Health and Hospital System to sublease from UT Southwestern 11,752 RSF at the Southwest Professional Building at 5920 Forest Park Road; this agreement has been reviewed and approved by the Parkland Board of Managers.

COURT ORDER: Authorizing Parkland Health and Hospital System to acquire property owned by Parent Company, Greenway Investments located at 4102 Harry Hines, 2121, 21 23, 2131, and 2133 Butler Street; this agreement has been reviewed and approved by the Parkland Board of Managers.

COURT ORDER: Authorizing the staffing levels outlined in Attachment A, including 47 additional Detention Service Officer positions with all required demotions to be effective March 12, 2011 according to the Sheriff’s Office seniority policies, and requesting the Human Resources/Civil Service Department to review t he 47 Detention Service Officer positions for proper classification.

COURT ORDER: Authorizing the Human Resources/Civil Service Department to review the County Criminal Court Manager and Criminal District Court Manager positions for proper classification and present their recommendation to the Civil Service Commission.

COURT ORDER:  Approving the effective date for the tax abatement authorized under Court Order 2009-0966 (5/26/09) for the renovation of the Lake June Plaza Sho pping Center to be changed from January 1, 2011 to January 1, 2012, approving Amendment No. 1 which reflects this change, and authorizing the County Judge to sign said Amendment.

COURT ORDER:  Approving the Personal Services Contract with Open Systems Technologies for the services of Kumar Peruka, and authorizing the Dallas County Judge to sign the contract on behalf of Dallas County.

COURT ORDER:  Approving payroll deductions for membership dues for the National Latino Peace Officers Association-Greater Dallas County Chapter.

COURT ORDER:  Approving the use of Records Management Funds from the District Clerk and County Clerk to fund the OnBase electronic document management tool.

COURT ORDER:  Approving refunds to taxpayers, as listed, for the period ending February 15, 2011, in amounts over $5,000.00 for erroneous or excessive tax paym ents.

COURT ORDER:  Authorizing the second twelve (12) month extension of (Bid No. 2009-057-4287 \342\200\223 Annual Contract for the Purchase of Flex Spoons & T rays) as awarded to Cook’s Direct, Inc., effective April 28, 2011 through April 27, 2012, and authorizing all County documents/payments to reflect acco rdingly.

COURT ORDER:  Authorizing the amendment of Court Order No. 2011-215 (2/1/2011) to reflect the award of Bid No. 2011-025-5349, Annual Contract for Tires and Tub es to various vendors.

COURT ORDER:  Authorizing the approval of the outlined contract with The Dallas Morning News for legal advertising, in accordance with Local Governmen t Code 262.024 (a) (7) (A), for the period of February 15, 2011 through February 14, 2012, and authorizing the County Judge to sign all related documents.
