Dallas County Child Support Office
Information about the State Disbursement Unit (SDU)
The SDU (State Disbursement Unit) is monitored by the Attorney Generals office and is responsible for processing child support payments for all Attorney General cases. It is also responsible for processing child support payments on all Dallas County cases where the cause number starts with 94- or higher. This does not include modifications for cause numbers that are pre 94-.
If you get a Notice Of Place Of Payment (NOPP), you should call the SDU and make sure they have the correct address and bank information if you are on direct deposit. The SDU offers direct deposit to all recipients. If you would like to sign up for direct deposit, please contact us by phone or send us an email. When contacting the SDU and our office, please use your cause number or the number that was on the letter that begins with "N". If your employer receives a NOPP and they are not currently withholding your child support payments from your paycheck, please have them disregard the letter.
Dallas County will still monitor your case. This means that you will continue to do address changes, name changes, and get printouts from our office, as normal for all Dallas County Child Support cases.
The SDU's mailing address for payments only is as follows:
The phone number and web address for the Attorney General's Office is listed below. If you need to contact the SDU for any reason you will need to contact the Attorney General's Office.
