Trust, Accounting and Collections Manager
George Vent is a veteran Dallas County administrator who began his career with the Dallas County auditor. In addition to managing accounting and collections, George oversees the Registry of the Court, where funds are deposited for bonds in civil cases, and ensures that the District Clerk’s management of trust funds established by civil and family court orders complies with Texas’ state laws.
A District Clerk employee for 17 years, Carolyn began as a collections clerk and for the past 14 years, she has been in Trust. She enjoys working with both customers and with numbers, so it’s an ideal fit for this hard-working deputy who had perfect attendance for the first 13 years of employment.
David was promoted in July of 2013 to supervise the daily activities of the Trust/Accounting/Collections Division, including reviewing tax case excess funds, auditing final cases, accounting for cash bonds posted, processing orders of sale, accounts receivable data maintenance, compliance and bank reconciliation. He brought over 30 years of experience in banking and financial technology when he joined the District Clerk’s office as Felony Collections Coordinator in April of 2012. His background well qualifies him to increase security in the handling of cash and negotiable instruments, better utilize information technology and incorporate private sector efficiencies while augmenting revenue for Dallas County. His focus includes rendering improved customer service and cultivating employee morale, which have been hallmarks throughout his professional career.
