Can I pay court cost, fines or fees using my credit card?
At this time only the Criminal Collections Department accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Payments can be made either online or in person.

Can we file County Court at Law pleadings in the
District Clerk's Office?
No. They are two totally different offices.
What is the difference between the County
Court at Law and the District Court?
The County Clerk and District Clerk have concurrent jurisdiction in most civil cases. This means that they have equal authority to rule on matters without limitations on the amount of financial damages sought.
What hours are you open?
The court clerks are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Civil/Family Filing Section and the Process Section, located on the first floor of the George L. Allen
Courts Building, are open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Where do I pay my traffic ticket?
Generally, you can obtain this information
by reviewing the instructions on your citation or by calling
the agency that issued the ticket.
