Carmen P. White is an Administrative Chief Prosecutor of Division B of the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office. Division B includes the Child Abuse Division, the Sexual Assault Unit and the Animal Cruelty Unit. Carmen supervises sixteen attorneys, fourteen investigators and six support staff.
Carmen received her law degree from Harvard Law School in 1999 after graduating cum laude from Baylor University in 1995. Immediately after graduation, Carmen practiced law at a large corporate firm in Dallas, Texas.
Carmen pursued her passion of becoming a prosecutor when she joined the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office in 2001. Since joining the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, Carmen has held several positions. Carmen was named the Chief Prosecutor of the 291st Judicial District Court in 2005. Shortly after that, Carmen was named as the Deputy Chief Prosecutor and ultimately the Chief Prosecutor of the Child Abuse Division of the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office.
Carmen served in the Child Abuse Division for over ten years where she prosecuted crimes against children. Carmen speaks nationally on issues of child abuse and is one of the most sought after authorities statewide on trial strategy and presentation.
